for thermomechanical analysis of intumescent solids
Scope
The Macro-TMA (Macro Thermo-Mechanic Analyzer) is an instrument for thermomechanical analysis of intumescent solids. The measuring procedure includes the heating of the sample with a selectable, constant heating rate and the simultaneous recording of its length change in a spatial axis. The final temperature for an analysis as well as the holding time at the final temperature can be freely selected in the software.
Operation parameters
- Holding temperature: 300 - 650 °C
- Heating rate: 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 K/min
- Sample diameter: approx. 45 mm
- Maximum measurable change in length: 150 mm (minus initial sample thickness)
