SAF approval according to ASTM D4054

ASTM D4054 covers the standardized testing and approval procedure for new sustainable aviation fuels. This is a multi-stage process to ensure the fulfilment of safety and performance requirements for aviation application.

Together with our partners, we can support you at TIER I and TIER II levels. In addition to physicochemical analyses, we also offer special analysis for the examination of the chemical composition and fit-for-purpose tests, such as the analyses of thermal stability, lubricity or the evaluation of ignition characteristics.

What raw material was your product made of (syngas, biomass, plastic, etc.)?

What process was used to produce the product (pyrolysis, Fischer-Tropsch or similar)?

How far along is the research on your product? We have a standard-compliant product and need analyses according to ASTM D7566. We have a raw product that has already been upgraded, so we are close to ASTM D7566. We already have a basic process, but we also need services from ASG’s miniplant LAB in order to obtain a product that complies with the standard. We are at the very beginning of our research and need support in classification according to ASTM D4054, in process development (by ASG’s miniplant LAB) and analytics to accompany our research project.
